How to Apply
Candidates can apply for a school based place via the Department for Education's website https://www.gov.uk/guidance/find-postgraduate-teacher-training-courses-in-england. Application
Bishop Rawstorne Church of England Academy and the University of Cumbria will receive the application from UCAS after references have been uploaded. They will assess suitability and decide on potential applications. If candidates are unsuccessful at this stage, the university will relay this decision via the UCAS track facility.
Interview
Successful applicants will be invited to Bishop Rawstorne for an interview. This interview will include a subject knowledge evaluation, a short subject knowledge presentation, interview and a literacy test – all of which will be explore your passion and potential to teach. Information is available to help you prepare and the ITT Lead, Helen Winter, is more than happy to answer any questions you may have about this part of the process.
Offer
A conditional or unconditional place will be offered on our school-based programme if applicants are successful. All offers are subject to DBS and medical checks and may be made conditional on other factors; these may include: successful completion of your degree, or production of original examination certificates, to name some examples.
